The brief was as follows:
Fast loading for better page ranking
The website was hosted as ‘headless’ which vastly improved loading time and security. A lightweight theme. All images were compressed and a system font was used.
Links to Amazon affiliate products
ACF Blocks plugin combined with custom code was used to make Gutenberg blocks.
Automatic Amazon links from keywords
A custom preprocessor was written to scan for keywords so that they can be replaced with affiliate links. All the author needs to do is write the keyword and it converts to an Amazon link.
Optimized for SEO
GeneratePress along with the Yoast plugin.
Responsive
The site looks fabulous on laptops and phones.
